Václav Mika

Václav Mika was born in Slovakia in 1963. He is a graduate of the University of Economics in Bratislava. In 1994, he received the Professional Certificate in Management from Open University. He also studied at the Institute in Graz, Austria.
Prior to joining CME, Mika worked as General Director of Rádio Expres, the most popular radio station in the Slovak Republic. In 2004, he was appointed President of the Association of Independent Radio and TV stations representing the interests of all broadcasters. Between 1998 and 1999, he worked as Vice-Chairman of the Slovak TV (STV) Council and between 1994 and 1998, he managed the First Slovak Media Agency, the largest media agency in the Slovak Republic. Between 1986 and 1994, Mika held different managerial positions at the Slovak TV (STV).
