Nova Cinema
Nova Cinema was launched on the 1st of December of 2007, with the ambition of becoming the most viewed film channel on the Czech market, and to continue the work of building the Nova brand of television.
The schedule, which begins each day at lunch time and continues right through access and prime-time to close, consists of a mix of popular American series and films.
Each season, new slots will be introduced to the audience of the channel, with a focus on the latest releases, news from in front of and behind the cameras, the glamour and the glitz of the Cinema world, countdowns of the best titles on thematic subjects (thrillers, romances, mysteries, etc), and news from Hollywood in general.
In the future, the Nova Cinema team will bring to the Czech audience programs focussing on the local cinema industry and its celebrities. A clear objective of the Nova Cinema team is to ensure high quality content, through augmenting the time slots dedicated to films of excellence, and scheduling drama series and sitcoms that are categorized among the best in television production.
Some of the finest titles transmitted on Nova Cinema in the first months of broadcast are: Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow, The Insider, Aviator, Bugsy, Showtime, Mission To Mars, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Tailor Of Panama, A Knight's Tale, Color Of Money, the trilogy Back To The Future, Grease, The Morning After, Cocktail, Honey I Shrunk The Kids and Green Card.
In the series slots, amongst other titles, Nova Cinema is airing Alias, Third Watch, Gilmore Girls, Dawson's Creek and Relic Hunter.
Nova Cinema's website www.novacinema.cz enables users to see the schedule by film category (Family, Action, Thriller, Serial, Romance, Drama and Comedy etc.) as well as time slot, making it easy to plan viewing.
