Nova TV
NOVA TV is Croatia's first private commercial television station. The channel, which launched in 2000 and has been owned by Central European Media Enterprises Ltd since July 2004, has a reach of approximately 89% of the country's 4.6 million people and broadcasts 21 hours per day.
NOVA TV is one of Croatia's main sources for premium news, high-quality locally-produced programming and successful international content all of which is specifically targeted to its Croatian audiences. Since its launch, NOVA TV has continued to introduce new TV genres including highly rated programs such as crime investigation magazine "Istraga", informative magazine "Provjereno", variety show "Nad lipom 35", game show "Moment of Truth", showbiz magazine "Red Carpet" and central news "Dnevnik Nove TV". Approximately 36% of the schedule is locally produced.
NOVA TV's programming features some of the world's most popular TV stars, respected producers and hit television series including Heroes, 30 Rock, Cashmere Mafia and Damages, in addition to international programming and Hollywood-produced movies.
With a broad based programming schedule including local production success "The Farm" and "Don't Forget the Lyrics", Nova TV achieved an audience share of 23% in the first half of 2008 compared to 18.3% in the same period of 2007.
With over 600,000 unique viewers a month and 42 per cent reach, NOVA TV also boasts Croatia's leading media Internet outlet, which includes the country's first video news portal - dnevnik.hr - and largest blog service - Blog.hr.
NOVA TV's highly rated television channel and wide-reaching Internet presence (www.novatv.hr) has attracted many prominent advertisers including local businesses and numerous multi-national corporations including Croatian Telecom, Proctor & Gamble, Henkel, Vinet, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal and Reckitt Benckiser.
