TV Markíza

Reflecting the strong family values of Slovak culture, TV Markíza has built its programming strategy around family entertainment. Launched in 1996 and reaching 99% of Slovakia's 5.4 million population, TV Markíza leads the national TV landscape attracting a 31.2% all day audience share in its 12+ target group during 2009.

Broadcasting 24 hours a day,TV Markíza provides the Slovak Republic with a broad range of programming including news, movies, entertainment and sports. Approximately 27% of Markíza's programming is locally-produced, including top-rated shows Televízne noviny (TV News), Športové noviny (Sports News), Reflex (daily magazine), Aj múdry schybí (To Err is Only Human), Susedia (domestic sitcom Neighborhoods) and Ordinácia v ružové záhrade (Rose Clinic). Among the station's highest-rated shows is its news programming, which regularly attracts a very high audience share.

In addition, TV Markíza has secured exclusive broadcast rights to a variety of popular American and European series, films and telenovellas produced by major international studios including Warner Brothers, NBC Universal, CBS Paramount, Dreamworks/Paramount, Grandview-Castle and Buena Vista.

Markiza's advertisers include local and international corporations such as Slovak Telecom Group, Orange, Reckitt Benckiser, Procter & Gamble, L’Oreal, Slovenska Sporitelna, Telefonica O2, Nestlé and Henkel.
