Costi Mocanu

Costi Mocanu was born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1969. He is a graduate from the Faculty of Building Services, with the Technical University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest.
Mr. Mocanu has a lengthy and dedicated history with PRO TV S.A., originally joining the company in 1993 as a reporter, and eventually promoted to Editor-in-Chief of ProTV’s sports department. During Costi’s tenure in the sports department, he has broadcasted exciting sports shows, building an impressive list of highly rated programs and hits through the past decade. In 2006 and 2009 he won the TV Mania "Best sports commentator" award, a prestigious award voted on by viewers.
With such a passionate interest in sports and community, he founded the program, "Vreau sa fiu mare" to support and fund young boys who dream of becoming football players.
In 2004, Mr. Mocanu was appointed Executive Director of TV Sport, and in 2007 he became Executive Director of Sport.ro. Soon after in 2007, he was appointed General Director of ProTV S.A.
Since Costi’s appointment as General Director, his focus has been to maintain the stations leading position, and to continue development of Pro TV brands as a trusted and free thinking source for all Romanian’s. Costi is married with two children.
