Acquired by CME in April 2010, bTV reaches almost all of Bulgaria’s 7.5 million people and in 2009 achieved an average all day audience share of 34.9% in the 18-49 target group, making it the country’s most popular channel. bTV was originally launched in June 2000 and was the first private television station to enter the market. It has been held the position of most watched channel in Bulgaria for eight years.

bTV is digitally equipped, using DVC PRO for quality TV production, and in 2006 was the first station in Bulgaria to implement the state-of-the-art HDTV technology.

Broadcasting 24 hours a day, bTV offers a quality selection of movies, reality formats, talk shows and comedy programs. The news and public affairs programs of bTV have established themselves as the information leader with the highest rating of viewers’ trust.

bTV’s main evening news program attracts an average share of 53% in the 18-49 target group.
