Acasa TV
In February 1998, CME and its partners launched Acasa TV, broadcasting 24 hours a day and targeting female audiences with telenovelas, films and soap operas, as well as news and entertainment. Launched as a niche channel for women, Acasa TV broke records with the huge success of its local productions including Romanian telenovelas. The station had an audience share of 12.4% in the first half of 2008 for its female 15-49 urban audience and reaches 83% of the nation's 20.2 million people.
Approximately 38% of Acasa's programming is locally produced, including "Inima de Tigan" (Gipsy Heart), "Razboiul sexelor" ("The War of the Sexes") , "Povestiri Adevarate" ("True Stories") and "Povestiri de Noapte" ("Late Night Stories").
"Gipsy Heart", the sixth telenovela produced by Acasa TV, brought together great and popular actors from stage and screen, continuing to bring innovation and high standards. Since it began airing in October 2007, "Gipsy Heart" has been a top rated program of Acasa TV.
www.acasatv.ro offers its users the chance to better know their favorite telenovela stars through chats and video-chats. The website also provides exclusive behind-the-scene stories and all kinds of polls and competitions.
