Central European Media Enterprises Acquires Remaining Minority Interest in TV Markiza in the Slovak Republic

Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. ("CME") (Nasdaq/Prague Stock Exchange: CETV) today announced that it has acquired the remaining 20% minority interest in TV Markíza in the Slovak Republic. As a result of this transaction, CME will own 100% of its Slovak operations. The total consideration is SKK 1.9 billion (approximately US$ 79 million).

Launched in 1996, TV Markíza is the most popular and leading national broadcaster in the Slovak Republic, reaching 97% of the population with an all-day audience share of 34.3% in the first six months of 2007.
