Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. Appoints Romana Tomasová Director of Corporate Communications

Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. (CME) (NASDAQ: CETV) today announced the appointment of Romana Tomasová as Director of Corporate Communications, effective October 1, 2005. In her new position, Ms. Tomasová will be responsible for investor, government and public relations based at CME’s London headquarters.
Prior to joining CME, Romana Tomasová was Director of Marketing and Communications of PPF, which is the largest private financial group in the Czech Republic. While at PPF, her responsibilities included investor relations, building international awareness of the group, coordination of communication activities across all countries where the group’s financial services companies were active, and communication of special projects, such as the sale of TV NOVA to CME.
Prior to PPF, she worked as a PR Manager of the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, in the Czech Republic. Between 1999 and 2003, Ms. Tomasová worked as Head of Corporate Communication of the Czech alternative Tlecommunications operator, Contactel, where she played an active role in building a new telecommunications company. Between 1995 and 1999, she worked for the Czech telco incumbent, Czech Telecom in different managerial positions involving PR, communications and government relations.

Romana Tomasová graduated from the Charles University in Prague where she studied psychology and later translation and interpreting. She is fluent in Czech, English and Russian. In 2003, she received her MBA at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. She is married and has a 13-year old daughter.
