David Stogel Appointed as Programming Director of TV Nova in the Czech Republic

TV NOVA, the largest TV network of Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. (“CME”) (Nasdaq/Prague Stock Exchange: CETV), today announced the appointment of David Stogel as Programming Director of TV NOVA, effective January 1, 2006. David Stogel will be responsible for developing the programming, production and acquisition strategy for TV NOVA to enhance its leading position in the Czech market.
David Stogel is returning to CME after an eight-year hiatus. Between 1993 and 1997, he held the position of Development Director for CME. In 1994, he helped launch TV NOVA in the Czech Republic, and in 1995, he initiated CME’s development of PRO TV, Romania’s leading TV station.

During the last three years David Stogel worked as Chief Operating Officer of TV2, one of Hungary’s leading commercial television broadcasters, and managed a significant turnaround in the station’s economic performance. Prior to that, he worked for SBS Broadcasting SA as Vice President of Development. He was actively involved in the development, evaluation and acquisition of media ventures and was responsible for overseeing SBS’ investments in Poland, Hungary and Romania.
David Stogel is a graduate of University of Chicago. In 1993, he received his MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He lives in Prague with his wife, a Czech citizen, and two children.
