- December 2, 2008 - Bloomberg Central European Media to Cut Program Costs, Lift Ad Prices Central European Media Enterprises Ltd., the operator of television stations in seven eastern European countries, aims to keep profitability stable next year by cutting programming costs and raising advertising prices. “We told investors that operating earnings will grow next year under almost any economic scenario,” Chief Executive Officer Michael Garin said in an interview in London today. “The growth of advertising sales will slow down, but we’re able to adjust programming costs, so we’ll be able to maintain our profit margin.”
