June 19, 2009
TV Markíza, owned by Central European Media Enterprises, is launching a new program service - Doma
The leader´s next step to meet the market’s needs is a new strong women’s channel.
A new program service, Doma, is about to enter the Slovak media market. It will be the latest CME Group station, operating alongside TV Markíza in Slovakia. TV Markíza will henceforth be profiling itself as a full-format television channel for the majority of viewers.
Television Doma will be launched at the beginning of the fall broadcasting season. The new channel’s content will be focused toward a younger female segment, aged 12-54. The station´s objective is to attract viewers with a new, thematic and well-prepared project.
In respect of the new program service, Václav Mika, CEO of TV Markíza stated: “It is our first monothematic channel, with formats aimed at the selected female audience. We expect that TV Doma will become a relevant medium in that particular target group within a short time.“
