Pro TV to put up Champions League match ad time for sale

Pro TV has won the rights to air Champions League matches for the next three years, after wining a pitch also attended by TVR, Antena 1 and Realitatea TV. UEFA compels broadcasters to air for free the ads of a number of sponsors; this year, these sponsors - Sony PlayStation, Ford and Heineken - will be granted 2 ads per airing. The remaining ad time will be sold to Romanian companies, for a rate-card price to be announced on September 7. Last year's tariff was EUR 3,000 per ad, but tariff will likely be higher this year. Ad time during Steaua matches will be sold as a special package, at a higher tariff.
