POP TV, which began broadcasting in 1995, has been Slovenia’s most popular television channel for many years. It has a strong leading position amongst the target age group 18 to 49, and boasts an average 34% prime-time audience share (Year 2012, AGB Nielsen Media Research).
POP TV is part of the PRO PLUS group of channels and was voted the most trusted Slovenian television brand by consumers in a Readers Digest survey. It broadcasts 24 hours a day, providing nationwide coverage and in December 2010 switched to digital.
Its mission is to offer viewers an extensive, up-to-date choice of informative and entertaining programs.
Locally produced programming includes the top rated topical news shows 24hours in the Afternoon (24ur Popoldne), 24 hours (24ur), 24 hours at Night (24ur zvečer) and the weekly current affairs show Confirmed! (Preverjeno!).
Reality and entertainment also proves to be very popular and stands as a strong pillar of POP TV program. 2013 will also offer a strong repertoire of local production shows: second season of original reality format Restaurant's looking for a Boss (Gostilna išče šefa), original formats Vid&Pero show (Vid in Pero šov), Holly Molly Street (Je bella cesta), a new seasons of the popular cooking show Ana's Cooking (Ana kuha) and a reality format Beware of the good dog (Pozor, priden pes!). A variety of the latest popular international programs including telenovellas, top feature films, hit series and cartoons are also available to viewers of POP TV.
In 2012 the top 5 performing local productions in the country were all produced by POP TV.
CME operates Voyo.si, a video-on-demand service that offers content from the PRO PLUS library through its catch-up TV system, access to sporting events, live streaming and advanced previews of TV broadcasts. Voyo is available at any time and any place - on a personal computer and as an application on mobile phones and tablet computers for most popular mobile operating systems: iOS , Android and Windows Phone. Furthermore, the application Voyo is also available for Phillips, LG and Samsung smart TV sets.
CME also operates channel and news program associated websites such as 24ur.com, the most visited web page in Slovenia, and a number of specialized web portals including: zadovoljna.si, bibaleze.si, cekin.si, vizita.si, dominvrt.si, okusno.je, moškisvet.com which rank among the most visited Slovenian web pages.
