Nova TV
Nova TV is Croatia's first private commercial television station. The channel launched in 2000 and was acquired by CME in July 2004. It reaches approximately 99% of the country's 4.4 million people. Nova TV is the leading broadcaster on the market with the highest ratings in terms of total individuals and all 18-54 targets. In 2011 Nova TV was the number one channel with an average all day audience share of 23.4% in its 18-54 target group and in prime-time with an average share of 29.7%.
The channel is Croatia's main source of quality news and current affairs, high-quality locally-produced programming and successful international content, all of which is specifically tailored to the local audience.
Since its inception, Nova has been at the forefront of TV, introducing new TV genres, online innovations and mobile applications. It has received many awards for its achievements, more recently the QUADAL quality medal for best TV channel of 2011 in all categories: TV channel, entertainment program and central news program. It also won the VIDI web top 100 award in 2011 for the best online news portal Dnevnik.hr.
Dnevnik.hr is one of the many portals which makes the Nova TV group is one of the top five leading media Internet outlets in Croatia. The Croatian Internet Business Unit also maintains the VOD service OYO.hr (part of the Voyo brand), the largest blog service Blog.hr, the sports portal Gol.hr, the lifestyle portal Zadovoljna.hr and corporative sites Novatv.hr, Domatv.hr and Mojaminitv, which utilizes cutting edge internet television technology.
In 2011 Nova TV started a new chapter in corporate and social responsibility when it started a partnership with Ana Rukavina Foundation to expand the registry of bone marrow donors. The project has so far saved 13 lives.
