MTV
TV Nova began operating MTV in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in November 2009 after entering into a licensing agreement with MTV Networks International.
MTV in the Czech Republic and Slovakia broadcasts 24 hours per day, in the Czech language via dubbing and subtitling. Its target audience is aged between 15 and 34.
The channel showcases the very best local, international music and long form programming aimed at young people. Content will include a selection of programmes from MTV's rich library including Fur TV to MTV Cribs, Pimp My Ride to A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, among other MTV favourites.
Half the program schedule consists of music, in the form of the newest and the best international and local clips, as well as music programming. Viewers will be able to find new music in MTV themed music blocks, like Alternative Nation or MTV Rocks! They will also be able to enjoy music events, such as MTV Europe Music Awards or MTV Video Music Awards, which broadcast live, or concerts from great artists around the world in the format World Stage. MTV brings Czech and Slovak audiences' exclusive access to experience the lives and performances of the world's greatest stars.
