In February 1998, Central European Media and its partners launched Acasa TV, broadcasting 24 hours a day and targeting female audiences with telenovelas, films, as well as news and entertainment. Launched as a niche channel for women, Acasa TV broke records with the huge success of its local productions including Romanian telenovelas and Prime Time long running series.
The station had an all day audience share of 4.9% in 2011 in the 18-49 target group. The channel reaches 93.1% of the nation's 21 million people.
Approximately 30% of Acasa's programming is locally produced.
www.acasatv.ro offers to its users the chance to get to know their favorite telenovela stars through chats and video-chats. The website also provides exclusive behind-the-scene stories and all kind of popular polls and contests.
