Parm Sandhu
Director and Member of the Audit Committee

Parm Sandhu is a Non-executive director of CME and an international media and telecoms executive with a cable industry background.
Born in England in 1968, Mr Sandhu read Mathematics at Cambridge University graduating with first class honours in 1989. He later qualified as an ACA and is a chartered marketer.
He was most recently CEO of Unitymedia, Europe’s third largest broadband cable operator with 8.8million homes passed, developing the business over seven years to January 2010 when he oversaw its successful sale to Liberty Global Inc for € 3.5 billion.
At Unitymedia, he was widely recognised for his role in leading the renaissance of German cable by driving the roll-out of triple play services on the back of Unitymedia’s market consolidation and a € 300 million multi-year network investment programme. During his tenure the business established a strong consumer brand and increased its revenues to € 1.0 billion and its EBITDA by a factor of over 30 times to € 463 million in 2009.
He has represented the cable industry’s interests at an international level as a former board member of ANGA, the Association of German Cable Operators, and as an Executive Committee Member of Cable Europe.
He was previously a Finance Director with Liberty Media International, where he was responsible for cable acquisitions in Europe, prior to which he held a number of senior finance and strategy positions during his six years at Telewest Communications plc.
Mr Sandhu also serves as a Non-executive director of Wire and Wireless (India) Ltd.
